A semi-formal English garden, a butterfly house, creative water features, expansive rural sites and compact in-city properties await visitors on the 22nd annual Secret Gardens Tour in and around Saratoga Springs on Sunday, July 10.

The self-guided tour of 10 private gardens is a major fund-raiser of Soroptimist International of Saratoga County to support local and global initiatives that benefit women, girls and the community. The featured gardens are a mix of styles and sizes, in both sun and shade, sure to inspire garden lovers of every level. All but one garden are making their Secret Gardens Tour debut.

Tickets may no longer be ordered online, to allow time for processing orders. All tickets that were pre-ordered by U.S. mail or online can be picked up at the Visitor Center on Sunday between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Advance $20 tickets may be purchased during business hours at any retail Cudney’s Dry Cleaners location, the Saratoga Heritage Area Visitor Center at 297 Broadway and (beginning June 4) at Northshire Bookstore at 424 Broadway. Tickets for $25 will be sold at the Visitor Center on the day of the tour from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The ticket, which is required for entrance to the gardens, consists of descriptions of each garden and a map with recommended driving directions. Some gardens are clustered within walking distance of one another.
