The 2018 Soroptimists' Garden Party at Sunnyside Gardens took place on Friday May 11. The evening included a presentation by Sunnyside's Ned Chapman, flavorful wines and snacks, raffles and a wine pull, and music by Phil Drum. Sunnyside Gardens donated 10% of the evening's sales to SISC. The wonderful pictures in this gallery were taken by Brian Hoffman. Thank you to all who made this event so successful!
At our May 2018 meeting, SISC inducted seven of eight new members for 2018-19.
Saratoga Soroptimists gave their support to Wellspring's participation in the 2017 Allstate Purple Purse Challenge, which offers prizes to domestic violence agencies for raising the most money during the month of October. Wellspring finished third among all such agencies in the nation.
Mark Bertrand of the Giving Circle gave an inspiring presentation at the November 2017 SISC meeting. It is nice to know we Soroptimists have funded a birthing center, medical center, and incinerator in Uganda. Their gratitude was quite evident. We have also helped many migrant families in Florida after the hurricane.
