Karen Flewelling, founder of Drilling for Hope, a philanthropic organization that drills wells for fresh water in villages in Africa, was the guest speaker at the March SISC membership meeting.
At the March membership meeting, SISC member Janet Foster was inducted into the Laurel Society of Soroptimist International . Congratulations to all our club members pictured who provide ongoing financial support beyond dues to ensure SI programs have the funds needed to serve women and girls around the world.  
The annual Cabin Fever Luncheon took place on January 19, 2019 at Saratoga National Golf Club, with keynote speaker Catherine Thimmesh, an award-winning children’s author who writes with a perspective to empower young girls to be stronger women. In addition to the keynote address and luncheon, there was a silent auction and display of Ms. Thimmesh's books, which were available for purchase and signing by the author. The annual SISC Holiday Meeting and Buffet Dinner took place at Longfellow's Restaurant on December 12, 2018. A good time and good food were had by all!

The 24th annual Secret Garden Tour took place on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Many thanks to the gardeners who provided such beautiful places for the tour, to the individuals and organizations who supported this important fund-raising event with their donations, and to the SGT committee and volunteer hostesses who worked so hard to make the 2018 Secret Garden Tour such a great success. 
Several members of SISC and some of their children (future members of SISC!) marched in the 2018 Saratoga Springs Flag Day parade. A great time was had by all.
SISC Member Dora Lee Stanley was honored at the annual Saratoga County Women of Influence luncheon, Several SISC members attended the luncheon, which was held at Longfellow's Restaurant on Wednesday, May 16. 
The 2018 Soroptimists' Garden Party at Sunnyside Gardens took place on Friday May 11. The evening included a presentation by Sunnyside's Ned Chapman, flavorful wines and snacks, raffles and a wine pull, and music by Phil Drum. Sunnyside Gardens donated 10% of the evening's sales to SISC. The wonderful pictures in this gallery were taken by Brian Hoffman. Thank you to all who made this event so successful!   
At our May 2018 meeting, SISC inducted seven of eight new members for 2018-19.
