Cabin Fever 2020

Cabin Fever Luncheon

11 AM, January 25, 2020 at Saratoga National Golf Club

“We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men and women are created equal.” Elizabeth Cady Stanton
“There shall never be another season of silence until women have the same rights men have on this green earth.” Susan B. Anthony

The year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing and protecting women's constitutional right to vote. The amendment states that the right of citizens to vote "shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex."
Join Cabin Fever at Saratoga National at 11 AM on January 25, 2020 for a celebration and dynamic discussion of the largest expansion of democracy in the history of our country. This year's event will feature the meaningful turning points and key women shaping the suffrage movement - and what it means for key issues facing women, today. Taking the form of a fireside chat, the discussion features four distinguished speakers in a forum moderated by the president of SISC, Tammy Arquette. Click below for more information about the speakers.

In addition to Suffrage Rally Reenactment activities, Cabin Fever attendees can expect a thought-provoking conversation from experts regarding:

  • The importance of the 19th Amendment to the liberation of women in the United States
  • The movers and shakers who fought for this important liberation
  • An examination of gender equality in the US in 1920 versus today
  • How the 19th Amendment’s Right to Vote is reflected from today’s younger generations
